An assessment will be conducted at the beginning of the class to identify specific needs of attendees.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Law Enforcement Officers, victim advocates, social workers, mental health providers, medical personnel who attend to Sexual Assault victims, and criminal justice practitioners who deal with sexual assault witnesses, victims, and offenders.
TIME ALLOTED: One day. Registration begins at 8:00. Training begins at 9:00.

INSTRUCTOR: Dr. Lou Harris (FBI retired, 25 years federal investigator); Chair of the Criminal Justice Department, Faulkner University since 1993; certified APOST instructor since 1987; investigated numerous sexual assault cases while assigned to the Yakima Indian Reservation for 11 years; author of numerous articles and books; teaches Psychological Profiling, Crime Scene Investigation, Interview and Interrogation, and CJ Ethics.

3rd Wednesday of each month 5:00 PM | MORE-Men Opposed to Rape Everywhere Meetings: Daybreak is pleased to announce the meeting schedule of MORE-Men Opposed to Rape Everywhere The purpose of MORE is to bring together men from our community to help start a positive dialog about ending sexual assault in our society and to train and expand the initiative increasing the participation of men, who embrace the reality that men can stop sexual violence.
Men of all ages are invited to participate.

HASA Support Groups Our support group, Healing After Sexual Assault (HASA),
for the greater Calhoun County area meets from 5 to 6:30 PM on the second and fourth Tuesday every month at the Daybreak offices. All sexual
assault victims are invited regardless of when their trauma occurred.
Cleburne County HASA meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Cleburne County Mental Health Center in Heflin. The meeting begins at 11:00.
The Cherokee County HASA meets on the third Monday of each month at the Centre Housing Authority office. The meeting begins at 5:00.
